As you begin your college experience in the US, you have great opportunities and great challenges. You will face a different culture, new expectations of you in the classroom and the uncertainty of interacting with classmates from many different worlds.

Professionally, every year, there are an increasing number of international students in US universities – while the number of internships and jobs does not increase as quickly and the number of H1B visas granted remains flat. Whatever your level, the Institute for Global Student Success program provides you the skills, techniques, practice and contacts you need to succeed in class and gain a high GPA; overcome culture shock and make American friends; and ultimately, gain paid internships and full-time jobs in the US and globally.

The IGSS Intensive is a six-day hands-on experiential immersion session in New York City August 21-26; during this time, you gain access to a global network of friends, professors, mentors and business contacts – as well as internship and job opportunities – that prepare you for a successful future.

quote1Now that you are an experienced American university student, your primary focus should be preparing yourself for a successful career. That is what the August Intensive four-day session, occurring in NYC from August 23-26, does.

75% of companies report that they hire people with related real world experience. Given the increasing difficulty gaining internships, how does one get that real world experience? And if you are looking for a full-time job, how do you beat the competition?

The first two days of our four-day workshop will allow you to master the skills and complete the exercises you need to be successful. Learn how to position yourself as superior to other candidates applying for the same position, access the source of 80% of opportunities, complete great resumes and cover letters, and then learn to interview for maximum success.

During the last two days, you will attend industry round tables and one-to-one interactions with executives from leading financial, technical, marketing, consulting, accounting and entrepreneurial firms. Utilize what you learned during the first two days and see how to distinguish yourself from other job candidates, and meet executives from Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, IBM, Uniqlo, Verizon, Sanofi-Aventis, CapGemini, WPP Advertising and other leading firms.

Learn how to be as successful as previous attendees that are now working at companies such as: Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Boston Consulting Group, Facebook, JPMorgan Chase, PWC, Disney, Boeing, Deutsche Bank, EY, Marriot, Yingke Law, Oxford University Press, and others.
