Meet IGSS Ambassador Linh Duong
We’re happy to introduce Linh Duong, Ambassador and Student Faculty member of IGSS. Linh is available to answer any questions you may have related to internships in accounting, finance and the consulting industry.
Before coming to the U.S., Linh completed two years of college study in Business Administration at Vietnam National University – International Education Institute, Ho Chi Minh City. Linh recently received his degree in Business Administration with double concentrations in Finance and Accounting from Drexel University.
While at Drexel, he served as the President and Founder of Ascend-Pan Asian Leaders-Drexel Student Chapter. Ascend is one of largest professional associations in the U.S. and Canada that enables its members, corporate partners and the community to realize the leadership potential of Pan-Asians in global corporations.
In the past two years, Linh grew the organization from 6 members to over 120 members at Drexel and organized 26 events to connect students with the Big 4 accounting firms and prestigious financial institutions such as J.P. Morgan, BlackRock and PNC.
In April 2012, Ascend was awarded the Dean’s Cup Challenge Award by Lebow College of Business for the most successful organization on campus in excellent programming and active student engagement after one year of establishment. In the summer of 2011, Linh was awarded the Ascend-Becker Scholarship at Ascend National Convention in recognition of his contribution to the development of the Ascend student chapter at Drexel. In addition to Ascend, he is also participating as a Scholar of White House Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders Youth Leadership and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma International Honors Society.
Linh has interned at KPMG and BlackRock Investment Management Group, the world’s largest investment manager. After graduation, Linh will join Ernst & Young as a full-time employee in Strategic Direction Advisory in the New York Office.
